Explore Social Media with “Client Eyes”

You’ve probably spent some time on social media and found yourself comparing what others are doing in contrast to what you do. While there may be a valid use for evaluating what is out there and what is working vs what isn’t working—as long as you are safe-guarding your heart and not falling in the abyss of comparison—, as a heart-centered professional there is another way to engage in social media.

Thinking like your target audience, what do you see on social media? It may be helpful to select a handful of people that represent your customer profile, and look through their feeds. Who are they following? What kind of posts elicit comments from them? What gets them excited on social media? What can you learn about their goals and challenges that would relate to the services you are offering?
