Grand Avenue Temple UMC partners with other churches and organizations in the Kansas City area to provide essential care to “sojourners” who come to the church for relief from hunger, weather, and lack of resources.
My Task
My Task
Their previous site had been hacked and neglected. The former web host was unresponsive and the church felt like a hostage, unable to move forward. They needed a new host and new website that could easily be updated by non-technical staff and volunteers.

I guided the leadership through the process of managing their own domain and host to avoid any future ownership vulnerabilities. Experience with many church websites gave insight to features that would best serve the website users. Other work involved graphic design including a new logo and collateral.
